Woodworking

This is our garage. First occupied by a boat-maker, then gardening tools, then spiders, then more spiders, then us (and the spiders). It used to creep me out, but as we gradually cleaned out the old musty junk, it became not so bad. We realized that big thing in the back with stuff that I didn't dare touch on it was actually an old conference room table and would make a perfect shop table. Paul ran underground power to it (and took out the old over-head wire) and made a few outlets and shop lights up top. Then we built shelves and started adding to the tool collection so we could build the wedding backdrop. And eventually it became our woodworking haven. I can't wait to see what comes out of there next.

This is my first big furniture building experiment. I had no idea what I was getting in to, but I was too excited to care, so I started drawing sketches. After about 3 months of on and off spare time and lots of experiments, it finally came together.
